Malwarebytes 2.2.1 majorgeeks11/9/2022 ![]() ![]() ![]() And while I like, admire and historically trust Mbam software, I will for now be patient for the dust to settle and for additional fixes to be implemented. ![]() While I realize that my particular experience may be just my bad luck of the digital dice, there are many other users vocalizing their displeasure on the Mbam forums. Long story short I tried installing 2.2.1 from Major Geeks (which didn't play nice with the rest of my Programs), Mbam-cleaned that, tried Mbam 3.0.5 (twice), and wound up mbam-cleaning those as well. Mbam-clean did a fine job of removing 3.0.4 the required reboot functioned as it was designed but there still remained the consumer quandary of hesitancy in reinstalling a beta and wanting to take advantage of what was to my perception a much better GUI and added features of Mbam 3. A visit to the Mbam forums revealed that I was not the only one with performance troubles. It was right after that install that I began to experience extreme issues with restart/shutdown, which would hang endlessly as I watched the small blue counterclockwise 'wait/patience' orb spin for what seemed an eternity, with Power-button pushing followed by Safe Mode as the only viable option for troubleshooting. But I did ultimately install Mbam 3.0.4 There were no issues installing it my premium credentials were transferred to the newer version, scans were scheduled-it appeared to be a routine install. When I learned of the newer Mbam 3 I was at first hesitant and skeptical as I hardly ever go near betas of any kind. When it became available I installed their free anti-exploit, kept it for a while past the evaluation stage but noticed recurring issues of a minor nature with it and my 64bit Windows 7 desktop. While I forget now what specific version number it was it ran pretty much trouble-free and there were no issues with periodic updates. I nabbed a lifetime Mbam license right before they were discontinued. What works and functions fine for millions may make your computer as slow as frozen shit.
